HLANGANANI SCHOOL NEWS FOR 31 JANUARY 2019


The swimming programme for the Foundation Phase is well under way. Grade R AND Grade 1 had their first swim on Friday 25 January. Grade 2 and Grade 3 will have their first swim on Tuesday 29 January.

The school was fortunate to have two ladies courtesy of Norwegian Church to undertake much needed remedial reading lessons with grade 3 learners on Monday 22 January. The young ladies are Miss Hannah Alfarners and Miss Nathalie Hansen. The school is indebted to them.

Gift of the Givers paid a visit to the school on Wednesday 23 January with 110 stationery packs Learners were delighted with the packs which contained exercise books, pens, pencils, rulers and glue. The school extends its gratitudes to Gift of the Givers.

Ten library monitors have been selected. They were given monitor badges at assembly on Friday 25 January. They are: Philasande Mthembu, Neo Qwemesha, Ziyanda Shazi, Inamandla Langazane, Kuhle Khuzwayo, Alwande Khwela, Sphelele Ngubelanga, Ntuthuko Miya, Minenhle Cele & Luthando Mtolo.

A tablethon is scheduled for later this week. Learners have to sharpen their knowledge of their timetables.  This is also a fundraising project.
