The awards function for the Intermediate and Senior Phases was held on Friday 30 November at 6pm. The event was held at Norwegian Settlers Church Hall and was well attended by parents and guardians.
The highlights of the evening were addresses by guest speaker, Mrs Lara Bradley and by past Hlanganani learner, Pearl Madlala. Mrs Bradley focused on learning difficulties and the varied ways in which children learn. Miss Madlala, a recently qualified chemical engineer, asked learners to keep good friends, respect teachers and parents and to have fun while learning. Many awards and certificate were presented.
The Dux recipient is Sithabile Chiliza. Fifteen new monitors for 2019 were also introduced to parents and learners.
