On the 02 February 2022 Hlanganani Preparatory school joined the 10 th World Read Day by
getting the 7’s to read aloud to the foundation group of learners. None of us born with the
ability to read as this needs time and practice to master and develop the skill of reading. The
better we read, the more we enjoy it!
By taking up the challenge and making reading aloud a priority throughout our school, and
following DEAR – drop everything and read, teachers are also motivated to establish an
environment in the classroom and the library to encourage the learners to read, knowing
that ‘’readers make leaders.”
