We have had a busy week with sport and culture.
At Hlanganani Preparatory, good sportsmanship goes beyond the game; it starts with
respect. The under 11 and under 13 boys and girls soccer teams represented the school
well, as they displayed excellent sportsmanship on and off the field. They delivered an
impressive performance. The thrilling soccer matches took place at Suid-Natal Primere
last week. The school would like to thank Suid-Natal for hosting these friendly soccer
matches.
The learners had fun participating in the Cross Country at South City last Thursday. They
enjoyed the route. They all finished the race. Well done to all the athletes.
Hlanganani Preparatory School held its annual career day last Friday, 15 August. Learners
were eager to start the day as they arrived at school dressed in their work outfits. There
were educators, doctors, lawyers, engineers and many other vocations.
The learners were educated by Miss Pinky Kawula a professional nurse and Constable
Nzama of the Port Shepstone SAPS. Miss Kawula explained the Nursing career.
Constable Nzama encouraged learners to choose working for SAPS when they grow up.
This will help learners to understand different careers and choose wisely in future. It will
also assist them in preparing for their potential career path.
Learners enjoyed the day which left them feeling positive about what the future holds.
We had an exciting inter-house sports day at Suid-Natal High School last Friday.
The three competing houses, Sharks, Whales and Dolphins, challenged each other in a
friendly rivalry.
Learners dressed in their house colours – blue for Dolphins, black for Whales and red for
Sharks.
