Last week we had a special assembly. Mr Bheki Shezi who is a road crossing guard,
visited the school to teach the learners about road safety. He explained to the learners
that his job is to help all learners cross the road safely. The school thanks Mr Shezi for
teaching the learners about road safety.
The learners had fun participating in the athletics at Suid-Natal on Friday, 30 January 2026.
The competition was challenging and demanded a lot from them. They stepped up
to the challenge and made us very proud.
We started our swimming lessons with Blue Ocean Aquatics on Tuesday at the Marburg
Sports Complex pool. Our learners are learning a life skill that will never be wasted. The
learners loved cooling down in the pool too.
Hlanganani participated in the annual regional track and field event. Our athletes tried their
best, with Lerato Magxala and Anothe Ntakana. Lerato Magxala advanced to the District
phase of the event where she shined coming first in the girl’s under 10, 80m and 100m
event. She will be representing our school in the UGU District. Well done to all our
learners.
We enjoyed the World Read Aloud day by reading the story and learning some sign
language.
Swimming lessons are going smoothly, and the learners continue to learn water safety.
They are also waiting for the fun swimming gala at the end of the term.
