Hlanganani Preparatory School celebrated Heritage Day on the 19th of September
2025, as it will be closed on September 24. Learners and educators dressed up in
their colourful traditional attire, and it was a day full of fun and activities. At a special
assembly the learners and teachers enjoyed different traditional items, such as
praise poetry, amahubo, gumboot dance, Zulu and Indian dance, Sotho and
Tshwana dance.
Learners also enjoyed listening and singing along to cultural songs.
The school also had a successful Grade 5 and Grade 6 fund-raising cake sale on the
19th of September 2025. It was well-supported. The learners enjoyed different kinds
of cakes.
The U11 and U13 boys’ and girls’ soccer teams visited Creston College for a soccer
festival last Saturday. They delivered an impressive performance. They showed
great teamwork and won some of the matches. The school would like to thank
Creston College for hosting this successful Soccer Festival.
We are closing at 10:30 on Friday, 26 September 2025 for the end of Term 3. We
wish everyone a safe holiday with family and friends.
