Local SPCA educate Hlanganani learners about caring for animals in their community.
Lower South Coast SPCA representatives paid a visit to Hlanganani Preparatory School.
Learners were educated on animal hygiene and the safety of their pets. The concerning issue of ‘qhatha’ which is the IsiZulu term for animal beating or gambling, whereby dogs are taken to fight each other in exchange for money was raised.
Both teachers and learners are now equipped with knowledge about animal safety and anticipate future visits from the SPCA.
